Women’s Super League 2026/27 Transfer Market Dates Announced

The Women’s Super League has locked in its calendar for the 2026/27 transfer market, and the clock will start ticking early this summer.

The summer window opens on Tuesday, June 16, giving clubs a crucial runway to reshape squads before the new campaign. From that date, teams can officially register new signings right up until 11pm (UK time) on Thursday, September 3. Every deal, every late fax, every final tweak to a squad has to beat that deadline.

Then attention will swing to the mid-season reshuffle. The winter window is set to open on Monday, January 4, 2027, and will run until 11pm on Thursday, February 4. One month for clubs to fix what went wrong, reinforce what’s working, or take a calculated gamble on a title push or survival bid.

Last summer’s market underlined how decisive this period can be. Clubs moved to bring in Chloe Kelly, Taylor Hinds, Anneke Borbe, and Olivia Smith, adding quality and depth across the pitch. January then brought another layer of business, with Smilla Holmberg arriving and Barbora Votikova joining on loan to bolster options at a key point in the season.

The dates are set. Now the question is who will use those windows best when the race for the next WSL season truly begins.
