Liverpool Revive Interest in Khéphren Thuram Amid Juventus Sale
Liverpool’s interest in Khéphren Thuram has flickered back into life, with the Juventus midfielder once again on the radar at Anfield, according to Corriere dello Sport.
This is not a new name for Liverpool’s recruitment team. During Jürgen Klopp’s time in charge, the club pushed hard to bring the French international in from OGC Nice. At one stage, they looked well placed to do it. The profile fit, the need was obvious, and Thuram’s rise in Ligue 1 had not gone unnoticed on Merseyside.
Then the trail went cold. Thuram chose Turin, Liverpool reshaped their midfield elsewhere, and the proposed move quietly disappeared without a clear explanation.
Now the situation has changed.
Juventus are increasingly expected to listen to offers for the 25-year-old this summer, and that has drawn Premier League clubs back to the table. Liverpool are among them, weighing up a player they once viewed as a cornerstone of their next midfield cycle.
They will not have a free run this time. Manchester United are tracking the situation, looking to refresh their own options in the middle of the pitch, while Nottingham Forest have also registered interest in the Frenchman.
If Juventus do press ahead with a sale, Thuram’s long-delayed Premier League move may finally be forced into focus. The only question left is which English club will move first.
