Juventus Pursue Kolo Muani Again as Striker Signals Return

Randal Kolo Muani is back on Juventus’ radar – and this time, the Frenchman is ready to pick up where he left off in Turin.

According to the latest updates from Fabrizio Romano, Juventus have re-opened talks with the entourage of the Paris Saint-Germain forward, who has shown what is being described as “total openness” to returning to the club for the 2026-27 season. For the Bianconeri, it is a chase they know well. For Kolo Muani, it could be a badly needed reset.

A Turin spell that still lingers

Kolo Muani’s brief stay in Turin left a strong impression. Arriving on loan from PSG for the second half of the 2024-25 campaign, he delivered exactly what Juventus had hoped for: goals, and plenty of them. He struck eight times in 16 Serie A appearances, averaging a goal every other game and quickly adapting to the demands of Italian football.

That run, sharp and decisive, convinced Juventus they had found a striker who could lead their line for the long term. They tried to keep him. Negotiations with PSG followed in the summer, but the French club held firm, and Juventus could not turn the loan into a permanent deal.

The chance slipped away. So did Kolo Muani.

From promise in Italy to struggle in England

Instead of staying in Turin, the forward headed to the Premier League, joining Tottenham Hotspur on loan. The move, on paper, looked like another major step in his career. On the pitch, it turned into a brutal reality check.

The 2026-27 season was a grind. Kolo Muani scored just once in 30 league appearances as Tottenham slid dangerously close to the trapdoor. They survived relegation to the Championship by only two points, a narrow escape that underlined how fragile the campaign had been from a collective standpoint. For the striker, it was a year of running, battling, and rarely celebrating.

Juventus, though, never fully turned the page. Romano reports that the Italian club made several attempts to bring him back during the 2025-26 season. Each time, they ran into a wall: then-Spurs head coach Thomas Frank. Despite not using Kolo Muani as a regular starter, Frank blocked his departure and kept him in North London.

The forward stayed. The goals did not follow.

PSG relaxed, Juventus persistent

Back in Paris, there is no urgency. PSG are not short of money and, crucially, have no great desire to reintegrate Kolo Muani into their plans this summer. That stance has opened a window for Juventus, who see an opportunity to revive a partnership that once looked highly promising.

Talks are ongoing with the player’s camp, and this time the mood is different. Kolo Muani’s willingness to return to Italy, described as total and clear, aligns perfectly with Juventus’ need for a forward who already knows the league, the club, and the expectations that come with the shirt.

He is not arriving as the in-form finisher who left Turin, but as a striker with something to prove, hungry to relaunch his career in a setting where he has already shown he can thrive.

Juventus have been here before with Kolo Muani. The question now is whether this second pursuit finally ends with him back at the Allianz Stadium – and with a very different story written in black and white.
